Do you offer FREE Shipping?

We do not offer free shipping. Due to the large and uniquely sized nature of our products, shipping costs can be higher. This ensures your order arrives safely and in perfect condition. We strive to keep our product costs low and affordable to help offset these shipping expenses.

How do I know if StayPut pole spikes are compatible with my boat?

For boats up to 21 feet or 3500 lbs, we suggest using any of our poles. For boats up to 24 feet, we recommend the shorter 6’-8’ poles. Shorter poles offer increased stiffness and tensile strength. They also enhance performance in shallower waters. To illustrate, consider a new full pencil: it's easier to break when full-length compared to a stub, which is harder to break.

Which Pole Mount Will Work Best For My Boat?

This is a loaded question that has many variables. If you are not confident in which mount to select, please reach out to us. Please send photos of your desired mounting location to info@stayputanchor.com and our team will be able to look at them and make a recommendation.

How easy are StayPut pole mounts to install?

At our core, we believe in simplicity and a hassle-free experience. We understand that not everyone is familiar with tools or boat mechanics. No need to worry—we've got you covered. Our straightforward tools and installation process will make you feel like a pro in no time. Explore our installation instructions; you'll be amazed at how easy they are to follow. Grab a beer and a buddy, and before you know it, you'll be done.

Why are the Stayput Mounts Made Out of Aluminum Instead of Stainless Steel?

We chose marine-grade aluminum for our mounts because it offers the best mix of strength, corrosion resistance, weight, and performance for shallow-water anchoring.

While stainless steel is incredibly strong, it’s also much heavier, more expensive, and prone to galvanic corrosion when paired with other metals, especially in saltwater environments. Over time, stainless components can seize, pit, or bind if not maintained and lubricated regularly.

Our CNC-machined aluminum mounts are built from marine-grade billet aluminum, which is lightweight, rigid, and naturally corrosion-resistant when anodized or powder coated. This keeps your setup strong, durable, and easy to handle without adding unnecessary weight to the transom or deck.

Is Stayput Better Than A Powered Pole?

Both electric and hydraulic anchoring systems have their place, but for most shallow-water boaters, Stayput offers a simpler, more reliable, and far more affordable solution.

Powered poles (like hydraulic or electric systems) rely on pumps, wiring, batteries, and seals to operate. That means more weight, more maintenance, and more things that can fail, especially in salt, mud, and vibration-heavy environments. They also require drilling into your transom, draw constant battery power, and can easily cost $1,500–$3,000+ by the time you’re fully set up.

A Stayput Anchor, on the other hand, does the same job without power, pumps, or noise. It’s a manual system, so it can’t fail electrically or hydraulically, and it lets you anchor instantly, quietly, and precisely in shallow water. No pumps to leak. No batteries to drain. No high-dollar maintenance.

What Sets StayPut Apart From Other Companies with Pole Spikes and Mounts?

What makes Stayput different comes down to design, materials, and mission.

We build every Stayput product with one goal in mind: to give shallow-water boaters a smarter, simpler way to anchor. Unlike many off-the-shelf systems that cut corners on materials or import parts from overseas, every Stayput Anchor is engineered, machined, and assembled right here in the USA.

Our pole spikes are made from solid, resin-injected virgin fiberglass; not hollow or blended composites. This gives you unmatched strength, stiffness, and longevity. Our mounts are CNC-machined from 6061-T6 marine-grade aluminum, powder-coated or anodized for corrosion resistance, and designed to fit a wide range of boats; from kayaks and microskiffs to bay boats and pontoons.

We also focus on modularity and real-world use. Every Stayput system is built to grow with you — handles, extensions, and mounts all work together so you can adapt to new water depths, new boats, and new fishing styles without replacing your entire setup.
